1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions: "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Tindell Ashkar, with offices at Wisma E&C, 2 Lorong Dungun Kiri, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "You", "User", "Participant" refers to any individual who accesses our website, enquires about, or enrols in our programmes. "Programme" refers to any educational course offered by Tindell Ashkar, including Dovetails, Mortise & Tenon, and The Cabinet. "Materials" refers to workbooks, recordings, case study readings, reference glossaries, and any other content included in a programme. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions as accepted by the User.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry through our website, enrolling in a programme, or accessing any programme materials, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with enrolment or use of our services. You must be at least 18 years old to enrol in any programme.
3. Nature of Our Service
Tindell Ashkar provides financial education. Our programmes are designed to describe, explain, and contextualise financial concepts and instruments within the Malaysian financial environment. We do not provide personal financial advice, investment recommendations, or financial planning services as defined under Malaysian law. Nothing in our programmes constitutes a recommendation to purchase, hold, or sell any financial product or instrument.
4. Enrolment
Enrolment in a programme is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and a written confirmation from Tindell Ashkar. Enrolment is personal and non-transferable. Programme access and materials are provided to the enrolled participant only and may not be shared with or transferred to third parties.
5. Fees and Payment
All programme fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of all materials as described on the relevant programme page. Current fees are: Dovetails — MYR 440; Mortise & Tenon — MYR 2,060; The Cabinet — MYR 3,720. Fees are payable in full prior to commencement of programme access. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of enrolment.
Tindell Ashkar reserves the right to change programme fees. Any change will apply to enrolments made after the change takes effect and will not affect confirmed enrolments made at the prior fee.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations made at least fourteen calendar days before the programme commencement date are eligible for a full refund, less any bank or payment processing charges. Cancellations made between seven and thirteen calendar days before commencement are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations made fewer than seven days before commencement, or after programme materials have been accessed, are not eligible for a refund.
In the event that Tindell Ashkar is unable to deliver a programme, enrolled participants will receive a full refund of fees paid.
7. Intellectual Property
All programme materials — including workbooks, recordings, case study readings, glossaries, and website content — are the intellectual property of Tindell Ashkar. Enrolment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or otherwise share programme materials with any third party, whether for commercial purposes or otherwise.
8. User Responsibilities
As a participant, you agree to engage with programme materials for personal educational purposes only. You agree not to misrepresent the content of our programmes, record sessions without permission, share access credentials with others, or use programme materials in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights. You acknowledge that the programmes provide education and that any financial decisions you make remain entirely your own responsibility.
9. Disclaimers
Our programmes are provided for educational purposes only. While we take care to ensure accuracy and relevance, we do not represent that the content of any programme constitutes financial advice or that it is suitable for any particular individual's circumstances. Financial conditions and regulations change; we recommend consulting a licensed financial adviser before making significant financial decisions. We provide no representations about investment returns or financial outcomes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Malaysian law, Tindell Ashkar's liability for any claim arising from the provision of our programmes is limited to the amount of fees paid by the participant for the relevant programme. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss arising from your use of or reliance on our educational content.
11. Termination
Tindell Ashkar reserves the right to terminate a participant's access to programme materials if there is a serious breach of these Terms — including unauthorised sharing of materials or misuse of programme content. In such cases, fees already paid will not be refunded. You may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the cancellation and refund provisions in Section 6.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. In the first instance, we encourage parties to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at [email protected].
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our website or enrolment in programmes after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
